On 17 November 2025, the COP11 will host a Strategic Dialogue, Healthy Planet, Healthy Future: Uniting for Tobacco-free Generations, marking The 20th anniversary of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC).

This milestone event will bring together ministers, policymakers, international organizations, civil society leaders and young activists to reflect on two decades of progress, while tackling the urgent intersection of tobacco control, environmental sustainability and youth engagement.

Tobacco harms not only health but also ecosystems, from deforestation to plastic and chemical waste, making cross-sectoral action critical. Through keynote addresses, case studies and intergenerational discussions, the dialogue will highlight achievements, confront persistent challenges and galvanize political commitment to embed tobacco control in broader climate and development agendas.

Delegates will also hear directly from young leaders driving innovation and advocacy, underscoring the vision of a tobacco-free, healthier and more sustainable future for all.

🗓️ Date: 17 November 2025
🕒 Time: 15:00 (CET)
📍 Location: The Strategic Dialogue will be webcast live on the COP11 webpage.
