Showcasing SDG Target 3.a in Parties' Voluntary National Reviews
Including Target 3.a (strengthen implementation of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control in all countries) in a Voluntary National Review is an important element in strengthening connections between WHO FCTC and sustainable development by showcasing positive impacts of WHO FCTC implementation and the Sustainable Development Goals. It also allows Parties to fulfill the request of the Global Strategy to mainstream the WHO FCTC in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
