Webinar series to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the WHO FCTC
The Convention Secretariat is pleased to launch a multi-language version of the Article 19 Online Civil Liability Toolkit as part of the series of technical webinars to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC).
The Toolkit was developed by the Expert Group on Implementation of Article 19 of the WHO FCTC on Liability and adopted by the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the WHO FCTC at the 7th Session of the COP in November 2017 as a mechanism of assistance for Parties in their implementation of Article 19 pursuant to decision FCTC/COP7(11).
The Toolkit was developed as a practical resource that presents ways that individuals and groups can overcome challenges in implementing Article 19 and bringing claims against the tobacco industry to court.
