Policy options and recommendations on economically sustainable alternatives to tobacco growing (in relation to articles 17 and 18 of the WHO FCTC)

The purpose of these recommendations is to provide Parties with a general working framework within which they may adopt the comprehensive policies and effective measures required to fulfil their obligations under Articles 17 and 18 of the WHO FCTC.

The recommendations aim to guide Parties in implementing policies that promote the establishment of innovative mechanisms for the development of sustainable alternative livelihoods for tobacco growers and workers in relation to Articles 17 and 18 of the WHO FCTC.
