Trade and investment issues relevant to implementation of the WHO FCTC

This report has been prepared in accordance with decision FCTC/COP5(15), on cooperation between the Convention Secretariat, WHO, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), which was adopted by the Conference of the Parties (COP) at its fifth session (Seoul, Republic of Korea, 12–17 November 2012). Pursuant to that decision, this report contains observations regarding evolving tobacco control-related trade and investment issues of relevance to the implementation of the Convention, and presents the outcomes of activities undertaken by the Convention Secretariat in cooperation with partners in this area since the fifth session of the Conference of the Parties.
