Angola WHO FCTC Needs Assessment

Overview

Angola ratified the WHO FCTC on September 20, 2007, and it entered into force on December 19, 2007. The Government of Angola, through its Ministry of Health, requested the Convention Secretariat to conduct a needs assessment exercise to monitor progress in the implementation of the WHO FCTC, identify possible remaining gaps and challenges, and provide recommendations to address these challenges.

The WHO FCTC implementation needs assessment mission in Angola was conducted between August 20 and 25, 2023. This report includes an analysis of the status of the WHO FCTC implementation, as well as challenges and potential needs identified during the mission.
