Bolivia WHO FCTC Needs Assessment

Overview

The Plurinational State of Bolivia signed the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (the Convention) in February 2004, ratifying it a year later.

The Ministry of Health, through the General Directorate of Health Promotion (Health Promotion Unit), together with an international team led by the Secretariat of the WHO FCTC, carried out a mission in the Plurinational State of Bolivia between July 18 and 21, 2016. The international mission team was composed of representatives from the WHO FCTC Secretariat, the PAHO/WHO national and regional offices, the Working Group on HIV, Health and Development of the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and representing international civil society.
