Chad WHO FCTC Needs Assessment

Overview

Chad signed the FCTC on 22 June 2004 and ratified it on 30 January 2006 before its entry into force on 30 April 2006. A joint needs assessment for the implementation of the FCTC was undertaken by the Government of the Republic of Chad and the Convention Secretariat. This included a mission led by an international team of experts from the Convention Secretariat and the WHO Regional Office from 23 to 26 October 2017. The relevant agencies and ministries of the Chadian Government (see annex) participated in the detailed assessment. The following report is based on the results of the joint needs assessment exercise described above.
