Costa Rica WHO FCTC Needs Assessment

Costa Rica signed the FCTC in 2003. In 2008, it was ratified through Law No. 8655 and Executive Decree No. 34705, obligating the country to implement its provisions through laws, regulations, or other measures for its compliance. The Ministry of Health of Costa Rica, together with an international team led by the Secretariat of the WHO FCTC, carried out a needs assessment mission between August 29 and September 1, 2016, in the city of San José.
