COP10 side event: Cross-border TAPS (Tobacco Advertising, Promotion and Sponsorship)
Strong cross-border TAPS regulation requires an international notification system to monitor evidence of cross-border TAPS including youth- oriented schemes. The goal of the side event was to demonstrate how Tobacco Industry is involved in cross boarder TAPs, presenting some figures, studies and discussion on the decisions FCTC/COP7(5) and FCTC/COP8(17) on cross-border tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship.
