Lithuania WHO FCTC Needs Assessment

Lithuania ratified the WHO FCTC on 16 December 2004 and the Convention entered into force for Lithuania on 16 March 2005. The needs assessment started with an initial analysis of the status, gaps, needs and challenges, based on a thorough review of the country’s most recent WHO FCTC official implementation report and other sources of information. Subsequently, a team led by the Convention Secretariat conducted a mission in Lithuania on 6-7 June 2018. The needs assessment involved meetings and brainstorming sessions with representatives from relevant ministries and agencies of Lithuania.
