Madagascar WHO FCTC Needs Assessment

Overview

Madagascar signed the WHO FCTC on 24 September 2003 and ratified it on 22 September 2004, so that it entered into force on 27 February 2005. A tobacco control needs assessment was requested by the Government of Madagascar, through the Ministry of Public Health. The Secretariat of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control led an international team to conduct a joint needs assessment with the host government from 22 to 26 January 2018.
