Panama WHO FCTC Needs Assessment

Given the circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a visit by the international team has not been possible, and the work has been carried out virtually. This report includes the progress made by the Republic of Panama in implementing the Convention, the gaps identified during the needs assessment exercise, and proposed actions to address these gaps. This joint assessment with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Panama, which was carried out within the framework of the FCTC2030 project, was financially supported by the governments of the United Kingdom, Australia, and Norway, and received logistical and organizational support from the Ministry of Health (MINSA), PAHO/WHO through its office in Panama and its regional office, and UNDP.
