Ukraine WHO FCTC Needs Assessment

Overview

A WHO FCTC needs assessment was requested by the Government of Ukraine, through the Ministry of Health. The Convention Secretariat led an international team to conduct a joint needs assessment with the Government of Ukraine from 26 to 29 September 2017. Meetings with local stakeholders took place to jointly review the status of implementation of the Convention. The needs assessment team met with representatives of the government agencies and representatives of legislative bodies, and nongovernmental organizations to identify the main challenges in the implementation of the national tobacco control action plan.
