Information for the media
The eleventh session of the Conference of the Parties (COP11) to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) will take place at the Geneva International Conference Center, Geneva, Switzerland on 17- 22 November 2025.
The fourth session of the Meeting of the Parties (MOP4) to the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products will take place at the World Health Organization Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland on 24-26 November 2025.
The media accreditation opens from Tuesday, 12 August and closes on 3 November 2025
Media accreditation
Correspondents wishing to cover COP11 and/or MOP4 need to be accredited.
In line with current United Nations policies for media accreditation to the World Health Assembly, and in accordance with COP and MOP decisions FCTC/COP8(12) and FCTC/MOP1(15).

The following information will be required by journalists to complete their registration:
- A letter signed by their editor-in-chief or equivalent supervisor, indicating the reason for accreditation and the dates for which accreditation is required;
- Photocopies of media credentials (press identification card);
- A copy of their national passport.
